Descriprtion


The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) is an EU agency which aims to strengthen Europe's defences against infectious diseases.The goal of the Traineeship Programme is to offer successful candidates an opportunity to improve their skills, to acquire practical knowledge in one of ECDC’s Units as well as the experience of working in an international environment. The traineeships are organised twice a year, each for a period of three to six months.


Eligibility

   - trainees are nationals of the EU Member States, of the candidate countries, or of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway
   - candidates must have completed the first cycle of a higher education course (university study) and obtained a full degree or its equivalent
     by the closing date for applications
   - candidates from EU Member States must have very good knowledge of at least two community languages, of which one should be the
     working language of ECDC (English)
   - candidates from no Member State must have very good knowledge of the working language of ECDC (English)
   - candidates can not have already benefited or benefit from any kind of traineeship (formal or informal, paid or unpaid) within a European
     institution or body, or
   - candidates can not have had or have any kind of employment within a European institution or body
