Description

USAID-funded Transformational Leadership Project in Kosovo as a seven-year project aims to improve the capacity of the Kosovo higher education system by developing a cadre of skilled professionals through coordinated scholarships, internships, and technical assistance to universities and other institutional partners. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.


Requirements


   - Advanced degree in higher education administration or a closely related field required
   - Minimum 10 years of experience in successful implementation of large, complex U.S. government-funded programs in higher education reform, university partnerships, or international educational exchange programs; experience implementing USAID programs strongly preferred
   - Knowledge of higher education administration and management challenges and opportunities, with knowledge of the higher education sector in Kosovo strongly preferred
   - Proven ability to lead capacity development programs across institutions in international contexts and to develop vision among diverse partners and multidisciplinary teams
   - Experience implementing educational exchange or scholarship programs
   - Strong team leadership skills and ​ability to mentor staff
   - Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
   - Fluency in English and strong interpersonal and communication skills


Responsibilities

   - Provide overall technical direction and management oversight of project activities and operations
   - Oversee project work planning and performance management
   - Develop and manage relationships with program beneficiaries and key partners, including U.S. and host-country universities and other academic institutions; foster partnerships​
   - Serve as key project liaison with USAID, project partners and stakeholders, and other donors and project implementers
   - Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, targeted performance goals, results reporting, and local laws
   - Coordinate with the home office to relay timely updates of project activities and situational events
