Description
The School of Public Policy at Central European University was launched in August 2011 and publicly inaugurated in April 2012. In the words of its founder, George Soros, it aspires to be “a new kind of global institution dealing with global problems.” Instead of wishing away the current global environment of uncertainty, complexity and continuous change, the School will embrace it in order to make a real, lasting impact.
Eligibility
- Funded by Board of Trustee member Matthew Nimetz, citizens of Albania, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Greece, are eligible to be
considered for the Matthew Nimetz Scholarships
- Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) are eligible
- Students of all academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- All applicants should explain in their application their motivation to learn about public policy
Scholarship
The scholarships cover the following student expenses:
- full cost of tuition
- lodging in the CEU Residence Center
- a monthly stipend
- medical insurance
