Description

Under the authority of the Head of the Performance and Well-being Section, the seconded official will provide specialist professional services in the field of equal opportunities, diversity and non-discrimination, in compliance with priorities and relevant policies, guidelines, values and regulations applicable to the Council of Europe.


Responsibilities

   - assists the Head of the Performance and Well-being Section in defining and supervising the implementation of the equal opportunities and
     diversity policy
   - contributes to the organisation of internal events on equality and diversity (competition for the Equality and Diversity Prize; celebration of
     International Women’s Day; International Day
     against Homophobia; International Day for Persons with Disabilities)
   - contributes to evaluation reports and statistical analysis of gender balance and diversity in the Secretariat of the Council of Europe
   - explores and proposes the introduction of new practices as regards gender balance and inclusive diversity
   - contributes to the non-discrimination and well-being policy in the workplace
   - drafts strategic documents such as policy papers, action plans and reports
 

Requirements

   - full university degree, preferably in human resources or multicultural management
   - at least 6 years’ experience in the implementation of equal opportunities and diversity programmes in public and private sector
     organisations, in an international and/or multi-cultural
     context
   - understands non-discrimination and well-being policies in the workplace
   - understands practices and tools of different HR fields
   - planning and work organisation
   - analytical and problem-solving skills; conceptual thinking
   - very good knowledge of one of the official languages (English or French) and good knowledge of the other
