EXPANDING PARTICIPATION OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES PROGRAM – FY 2013 DISABILITY FUNDING

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Macedonia would like to bring to the attention of prospective Macedonian organizations and existing USAID recipients and contractors an exciting funding opportunity to increase the participation of people with disabilities (PWDs) in USAID programs/activities and strengthen the capacity and services of Disabled People’s Organizations – DPOs.  The proposed program(s) areas could include, but are not limited to: agriculture and food security; democracy, human rights & governance; economic growth and trade; education; environment and global climate change; sports; gender equality and women’s empowerment; and science, technology and innovation, among others. Capacity building programs for DPOs may include organizational capacity, advocacy efforts, cross-disability coalition building, coordination, and leadership and training.


Eligibility

USAID/Macedonia seeks concept papers from eligible prospective Macedonian organizations and from its implementing partners of ongoing projects to propose innovative and effective approaches that increase participation of PWDs in Macedonia and strengthen the capacity of local DPOs.
