Description
The Embassy's Migration Section consists of four locally employed migration assistants and one officer sent out from Sweden. The section handles applications for visas and residence permits for nationals and persons residing in Kosovo and Macedonia as well as residence permit applications for citizens and persons residing in Albania. The migration assistants are periodically exposed to a lot of stress in situations where proper conduct is important.
Requirements
- Education at university level,
- fluent spoken and written English, Macedonian and Albanian,knowledge of Swedish is a merit,
- professional attitude, integrity and good judgment,
- flexibility, good interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure,
- large emphasis will be put on personal suitability, the Embassy strives for gender balance and encourage male applicants.
Responsibilities
- Receiving and registering applications for visas and residence permits,
- interviewing applicants and write down the interviews in English or Swedish,
- provide information by telephone, letter and e-mail,
- assist sent out staff with translations to English or Swedish from Macedonian or Albanian,
- other administrative tasks that are part of the migration assistants duties.
