Based in Washington, D.C., the firm has field presence in 20 countries worldwide with a strong and diverse portfolio that includes global contracts with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and other clients. Creative Associates International (Creative) is seeking a Deputy Director of Finance, Grants and Administration for an upcoming global health project.
Requirements
- Masters-level degree in accounting, finance, economics, public administration or related field required;
- Minimum of 10 years of financial and grants management experience, with a minimum of five years’ experience with senior-level responsibility for financial and administrative management of U.S. government awards in developing countries;
- Prior experience in the Financial Management of USAID or similar programs US government-funded international programs;
- Demonstrated skills in financial analysis, accounting and auditing, including automated financial systems;
- Demonstrated capacity to supervise a complex financial management or general ledger system, and manage in-country staff in a multi-country environment;
- Excellent speaking, writing and analytical skills;
- Excellent coordination, organizational, and detail-oriented skills; ability to meet deadlines;
- Excellent written and spoken English skills; proficiency in additional languages, including French and/or Portuguese, a plus
Responsibilities
The Deputy Director of Finance, Grants and Administration will be responsible for supporting the Project Director in the financial planning, management, and reporting for the project. The Deputy Director of Finance, Grants and Administration will provide management oversight for implementation in accordance with the strategic objectives of the program and in compliance with donor rules and regulations. The Finance Manager will oversee a full spectrum of logistical and operational support including, administration, human resource management, logistics, procurement, property management, grants management, budgeting and financial accounting. S/he will oversee support staff and short-term consultants in multiple project sites.
