Background
UNDP Croatia transitions from a country office to a project management office in 2014 with full completion of this process expected on 1 July 2014. The office will manage a portfolio of projects during 2014 - 2017, which will require operational support in terms of finance, human resources, procurement and other related administrative areas. The operational support is ensured by the operations unit consisting also of a finance position. The present document describes the details about its functions and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Implementation of operational and financial management strategies
- Administration of budgets and cost-recovery system
- Accounting, Finance and administrative support
- Global payroll
- CO cash management
- Full compliances of financial processes, financial records and reports and audit follow up with UNDP rules, regulations, policies and
strategies, implementation of the effective internal control.
- CO Financial business processes mapping and elaboration of the content of internal Standard Operating Procedures in Finance in
consultation with the direct supervisor and office management.
Requirements
- University degree in Finance/Economics or similar
- 5 years of work experience in finance or administration, preferably in project finance
- Excellent Croatian and English language skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in any of the UN agencies and familiarity of the UN procedures would be an asset
- Experience and basic knowledge of the energy efficiency and environmental governance will be an advantage
