EUROPEAID/135346/L/ACT/XK: IPA - STRENGTHENING THE FUNCTIONING OF KOSOVO ASSEMBLY

Regarding the legal system of Kosovo there is no comprehensive legal regulation on the legal system and the legislation, therefore there is no rule on the legislative procedure and the elaboration of laws. The Rules of Procedure of the Government and other pieces of the secondary legislation include only principles on the elaboration of draft laws; therefore they concern only the executive. Regarding the fact that more than 90% of the Bills are submitted by the government the quality of legislation should be ensured by these rules. The purpose of the project is to elaborate proposals for different pieces of legislation and to strengthen the overall codification and rule making capacity of the administration with the aim of enhancing the efficient functioning of the Assembly.


Objective

The overall objective of this project is to strengthen the regulatory framework for the functioning of Kosovo Assembly and its legislative capacity.


Eligibility

Only Public Administrations and Mandated bodies as per Twinning Manual of European Union MS may apply through European Union MSs’ National Contact Points.


Budget

The maximum total budget for the project is EUR 250.000,00.
