EUROPEAID/135344/M/ACT/MK: IPA - HARMONIZATION OF THE LEGISLATION AND PROCEDURES WITH THE ACQUIS AND EU BEST PRACTICE RELATED TO EXCISE; (MK 10 IB FI 02 R)

Background                                                           Maximum amount: 900 000 EUR

The purpose of this project is further approximation of the legislation in the area of excises and procedures to the acquis; strengthening the administrative and operational capacity of the Customs Administration in order to ensure enforcement of the excise legislation and to ensure efficient implementation of the excise legislation; to improve the CARM’s organization, management and operational capacity; to facilitate trade; and to secure the international supply chain, supported by the appropriate control mechanisms and IT systems.


Objective

The overall objective of this project is further alignment of legislation with the acquis in the area of excise, as well as strengthening the administrative and operational capacity of the Customs Administration of the Country in the process of fulfilling the EU standards in these areas.


Eligibility

Only Public Administrations and Mandated bodies as per Twinning Manual of European Union MS may apply through European Union MSs’ National Contact Points.
