Background
In the past decade, the Republic of Serbia has established a set of new institutions for overseeing the management of public finances. Their capacities have been gradually developed and they are in position today to unveil irregularities in the public finance system. The portfolio will support institutions at central and local level in establishing mechanisms to prevent irregularities, by instilling a full system of checks and controls and improving enforcement capacities of the prosecution and judiciary in processing public finance related cases.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible and accountable for the overall management and administration of the portfolio, and the timely and quality delivery of all
portfolio outputs
- Develop and manage in coordination with partners an overall portfolio implementation strategy
- Preparation of the multiple Project Work Plans and project reports (Progress reports including the Final report and their presentation to
the National Project Director/Project Board for review/approval
- Monitoring of portfolio projects’ progress to ensure that it is in accordance with the timetable set out in the project documents and
preparation of regular updates and reports to Project Boards on projects’ progress, implementing issues, emerging risks/problems and
proposals for necessary remedial actions
- Maintaining good cooperation and coordination between national counterparts, projects’ partners and other relevant stakeholders.
- Maintaining regular contacts with beneficiaries, trainers to ensure relevance and quality of projects’ outputs
Requirements
- Minimum Masters or equivalent in organizational sciences, economics, law, political and other social sciences or other relevant fields
- Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in a management position, preferably in international/multilateral development

- Experience in managing teams and complex projects/processes that included extensive communication, coordination and facilitation
requirements
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Serbian and English.
