Background
UNDP's energies in Kosovo are directed to restoring confidence amongst Kosovo's key stakeholders. UNDP strives to achieve its goal through programmes that target security and rule of law, job creation, sustainable assistance to minorities and returns, and strengthening local institutions at the central, municipal and community level. Using its flagship publications, the Kosovo Human Development and the Public Pulse -Reports, UNDP Kosovo seeks to better understand the local needs and it targets its interventions to meet these needs, particularly the ones of the most vulnerable in the society. All the UNDP programmes are designed within one single aim: to contribute to a meaningful long-term development process, which should become self-sustainable.
Responsibilities
Supporting Team’s office/administration work
Facilitating qualitative data gathering such as focus groups for Human Development- and Public Pulse Reports
Analyzing and reviewing UNDP reports
Providing assistance in all Human Development Initiatives
Editing the English version of UNDP flagship reports and other documents
Executing other tasks as deemed appropriate
Requirements
Enrolled in a degree programme in a graduate school (second university degree or higher) such as political science or social science at the time of application and during the internship (if a candidate is graduating before the internship period begins, they are no longer eligible), and not have graduated prior to the beginning of the internship
Excellent computer skills (MS Office)
Possesses solid understanding of human development with a strong commitment to poverty reduction
Proficiency in English both written and verbal is essential
