Background
UNDP Country Office Montenegro and Economy and Environ vment Cluster in particular work actively towards implementation of Tourism Master Plan 2007-2020, specifically development of nature based tourism in the northern Montenegro with a goal of facilitating a year-round tourism, connecting and expanding it from coastal to hinterland and rural areas, and providing a balance for the seasonal demand. Montenegro is well placed and endowed geographically, ecologically, historically, and culturally to provide unique recreational experiences in a natural setting on an environmentally sustainable trail system for nature based and outdoor tourism.
Responsibilities
- To prepare backgrounds and conduct workshop on institutional cooperation models: formalizing of business clusters, memorandum of
understanding, horizontal and vertical entrepreneurial cooperation, cooperation with national authorities, cooperation with investment
funds, etc (17th January 2014, Herceg Novi)
- To elaborate on recognized cross border clustered initiatives (minimum 3): SWOT analysis, capacities of the partners, joint products,
division of roles and responsibilities, needed start up assistance
- To provide professional assistance in formalization of the clusters at national level and in cross border context: establishment of nationally
recognized structures; inter-states coordination and formal partnerships
- To draft start up documents for sustainability of defined clusters, including: business planning documents, market approach strategy,
marketing directions, etc
Requirement
- University degree in economics, entrepreneurship or similar discipline
- At least 5 years of professional experience in entrepreneurial consulting
- Good knowledge of entrepreneurial networking and relevant domestic/EU strategic framework in this field
- Good knowledge of private sector funding opportunities
- Good knowledge of cross border region Montenegro-Croatia
- Knowledge of tourism sector in target area would be strong advantage
- Fluency in local language; Good knowledge of English language
