Background
There cannot be inclusive growth in Kosovo without local administrations, entrepreneurs, farmers, and communities deploying their energies and resources in a coordinated way, networked together to overcome specific development challenges in their territory. While development potential exists (particularly in agri-business and related value chains), no strong service institutions are present at municipal/local level. People have great difficulties in accessing employment opportunities, economic circuits and regular markets, business services and credit.
Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate the implementation of InTerDev project activities in the municipality of Dragash/Dragaš
- Ensure regular communication with the project manager and support him/her in planning and delivering of project activities including the
development of annual work plans
- Liaise with the Municipal Development Centre in Suhareka/Suva Reka Municipality; support the establishment of cooperation between the
two municipalities, Dragash/Dragaš and Suhareka/Suva Reka
- Support capacity building and business development initiatives organized at municipal level according to the project work plan
- Work closely and establish good working relationships at municipal level, in particular the mayor and the relevant municipal directorates
Requirements
- Secondary education is a minimum requirement. Bachelor Degree in social science, public administration, political science, economic
development, or other relevant field is an advantage
- Min 6 years of relevant experience is required (at the national or international level) in development projects
- Fluency (oral and written) of English and Albanian language. Advanced knowledge of Serbian language
