Background
There cannot be inclusive growth in Kosovo without local administrations, entrepreneurs, farmers, and communities deploying their energies and resources in a coordinated way, networked together to overcome specific development challenges in their territory. While development potential exists (particularly in agri-business and related value chains), no strong service institutions are present at municipal/local level. People have great difficulties in accessing employment opportunities, economic circuits and regular markets, business services and credit.
Responsibilities
- Management of the project, implementing activities by mobilizing goods and services, in accordance with UNDP Policies and Procedure
and UNDP Kosovo Standard Operating Procedures
- Monitoring of progress and risks, ensuring that changes are controlled and problems addressed Reporting on progress including measures
to address challenges and opportunities
- Support partnerships and advocacy activities at project level
- Ensure implementation of knowledge management activities
Requirements
- Master degree (or equivalent) in Public Administration, Social Sciences, Economy and/or Business Management or other related areas
- BA in Public Administration, Social Sciences, Economy and/or Business Management or other related area is acceptable, in combination
with 6 years of relevant working experience or other relevant fields
- Min 3 years of relevant working experience (or 6 years of relevant work experience for those with BA educational level) in
project/programme management or managing staff and operational systems, and/or establishing relationships among international
organization and local institutions/communities are required
- Proven track record in management of projects or programmes in a complex and diverse context involving multiple stakeholders is
desirable
- Fluency (oral and written) in English and Albanian language. Advanced knowledge of Serbian language is required
