Purpose

  - Accountable for effective engagement in promotion and implementation of a strategy for the protection of the vulnerable children and
    families in the country , thereby addressing the needs of the most disadvantaged and excluded children through evidence-based policy
    analysis and development, and ensuring that all children and families, particularly the most disadvantaged and excluded, have the
    opportunities and resources necessary to realize their rights and participate actively and fully in economic, social, cultural and political life
    without discrimination
  - Leads the policy dialogue and provides advice on reforming public finance and public sector management to achieve more effective social
    protection, and in assisting the institutions of the country in developing improved policy frameworks and implementation mechanisms to
    promote the wellbeing of children and women consistent with international standards
  - Collaborates closely with the other programme sections, M&E, and Communication in conducting disaggregated data collection and
    analysis, including child poverty analysis and equity gap analysis, communication and advocacy for social change, and reviewing social
    policies and public finance and local governance for children.

Requirments

  - Advanced university degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, International Finance, or other relevant
    disciplines
  - Five years of relevant professional work experience
  - Feld work experience
  - Experience in working with Government, NGOs and Civil Society Organisations
  - Experience in Project/programme management
  - Fluency in Macedonian and English languages. Fluency in another UN language is an asset
