Requirements
- Minimum BSc in (agricultural) economics, finance, development studies, business, or other suitable discipline
- At least 10 years experience in a relevant field of expertise
- Agricultural Economics - Solid understanding of many of the economic concepts used in agriculture, with hands-on experience
- Preference for candidates with experience and good understanding of production, market, and enabling environment risks in agricultural
sector and commodities

Description
The project consists of the preparation of the feasibility study and detailed design studies for 13 irrigation systems including carrying out consultations with stakeholders for identifying preferred rehabilitation (gravity irrigation) and modernization (pressurized irrigation) option.
The main objectives of the assignment are to: carry out intensive consultations with farmers in the project areas in order to identify the best suitable intervention of the project in 13 irrigation schemes, including main and secondary canals, for which dams are/or being rehabilitated under the Project; prepare a Feasibility Study for rehabilitation and/or modernization of 13 irrigation schemes; and (ii) develop the Engineering Designs for the selected options for each irrigation scheme.
