In the light of the importance of broadcast media, the Delegation of the European Union to the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia has launched a grant scheme to raise awareness and inform the local audiences about the process of EU accession. The present Call for Proposals aims at co-financing of television audiovisual productions and their broadcasting in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Applicants are encouraged to propose innovative ideas for programmes aimed at engaging general and/or specific audiences in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. This 2014 grant scheme is the continuation of the "Broadcasting the EU" calls for proposals launched in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 through which several grant contracts have been awarded for five years successfully. The current Guidelines refer to the fifth grant scheme "Broadcasting the EU". Some modifications have been introduced into the Guidelines in order to improve the framework of the scheme and incorporate lessons learned from the previous launches.
