Requirements
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience
- Ability to quickly establish contact and constructive relations with local population and officials
- Certified training in communications, personal protection including mine awareness, map reading and first aid required
- Professional fluency in the English language
Responsibilities
- Assists the Unit's management in providing relevant guidelines and coordination of the Monitoring Unit (MU) team deployed in his/her AoR
and ensures harmonised functioning of the team as a whole
- Manages, co-ordinates and evaluates the work of a team of three international and four national staff based in the Field Office Tetovo
- Acts as the Field Office Focal Point (FOFP) to liaise between relevant units of the Mission HQ and the field office (in accordance with the
ToR of the FOFP document)
- Ensures that Monitoring teams deployed in his/her AoR are operating in line with the Mission priorities, standard operating procedures
and instructions and assigns the Monitoring Officers specific tasks and activities
- Supervises, advises and supports the work of the Monitoring Officers, including monitoring inter-ethnic and intra-ethnic incidents and
provides appropriate follow-up
