Requirements
- University education in political sciences, social sciences, international relations, public policy, law or equivalent professional experience
- Work experience in either public administration, relevant international organizations, civic associations (including NGOs), political
parties/affairs, or economic and political development
- Professional fluency in the English language
Responsibilities
- Forms the senior management of the Regional Centre (RC), together with the Director, Deputy Director and the Senior Human Rights
Officer
- Liaises with the Senior Management of the RC and the Management of Democratization Department on all monitoring and project
activities in the area of responsibility: (2.1) Executes and supervises specific monitoring tasks in relation to local governance, media,
elections, participation of women, youth, and civil society in decision making, and other issues as assigned; (2.2) In close co-operation with
the Senior Human Rights Officer, supervises programmatic staff in the Regional Centre as assigned; (2.3) Executes and supervises the
implementation of project(s) in close co-operation with the Senior Human Rights Officer
- Compiles regular reports on democratization activities and submits those reports to the Regional Centre Director and to the relevant staff;
drafts spot reports as requested by the Regional Centre Director or the Department
