On the 17th of May the International Day against Homophobia (IDAHO) is celebrated. To pay proper respect to this day, three organizations for human rights in Tirana, Albania, are organizing an event called Diversity Week, from 12-17 May. The main aim is to show that all people have an equal chance, despite their differences.

One of the events during the Diversity Week is the “Freedom of Expression, No Hate Speech” photography exhibition. The Human Rights House in Albania (HRHA), PINK Embassy / LGBT Pro Albania (PINK) and Open Mind Spectrum Albania (OMSA) are organizing a photo contest with the same name, encouraging young people, especially artists to participate and warn against all forms of gender, racial, minority, and migrant discrimination.


Eligibility

The photo contest is open to everyone, especially young people and young artists from the field of art, design, film, and photography.


Prize

Winning photos will be exhibited in Tirana, Albania during the “Freedom of expression, No Hate Speech” exhibition, from 12-17 May. The jury will contact the authors of the selected works at the beginning of May.
