Requirements
- University degree in law, political science, international relations, public policy, or equivalent
- Minimum six years of relevant professional experience in an international setting; previous experience of working with an international
organization preferred
- Understanding of the work of the Human Dimension Department and the strategic and local issues related to human rights, education, rule
of law and democratic governance
- Thorough knowledge of political structures and current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English; Knowledge of local languages spoken in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Responsibilities
- Ensures that the Department's resources are used effectively and efficiently to achieve the Human Dimension Programme objectives,
providing co-ordination between the political and programmatic aspects of the Mission's work in the Field Office
- In co-operation with the supervisor and HDD Project Managers, supports the programme implementation through provision of mentoring
and advice on programme policy as well as intervening directly with local counterparts, where necessary
- Liaises with governmental, non-governmental and international organizations active in sectors relevant to the Human Dimension
Programme in the AoR and ensures appropriate field level co-ordination
