Responsibilities


   - Provides political and policy advice to the Head of the Office of Political Affairs, the Head of Mission and the Deputy Head of Mission,
     including drafting policy/position papers and briefing materials as required;
   - Drafts reports to the OSCE Secretariat, including daily, weekly, background and spot reports as required;
   - Drafts speeches and talking points, and contributes to the formulation of public statements of the Mission;
   - Contributes to the formulation and monitoring of policy planning and programming process as required;
   - Keeps abreast of and analyses political and institutional developments;
   - Liaises with other international and local interlocutors;
   - Accompanies the Head of Mission or Deputy Head of Mission on official related business to OSCE institutions, bilateral and multilateral
     meetings/conferences inside and outside the Mission area; represents the Mission in meetings with other international partners;
   - Oversees and co-ordinates the implementation of the Mission policy and programmes with Departments and OSCE (Field) Offices within
     an assigned area of responsibility;


Requirements

   - Experience in political analysis and/or reporting
   - Experience in policy planning and advising
   - Previous experience in a liaison function
   - Previous international work experience and/or experience in field missions
   - Professional fluency in the English language
   - Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as a member of a team, with people of different cultural and religious backgrounds,
     different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity
   - Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and with limited time frames
   - Ability to operate main computer applications, including word processing and e-mail
