Description
The project overall objective is to strengthen the independence, accountability, transparency, professionalism and efficiency of the judiciary and to improve the system for execution of alternative measures through establishment of probation service.
The project purpose is to strengthen the capacity of the judiciary, with special focus on the Judicial Council, Council of Public Prosecutors, Academy for judges and public prosecutors, courts and public prosecution offices for an efficient performance of their tasks related to the implementation of the novelties in the legal framework adopted as a guarantee of the independence, accountability, transparency, professionalism and efficiency of the judiciary. In addition, the project will support the Directorate of Execution of Sanctions in the enforcement of alternative measures through the establishment of a probation service in line with EU and international human rights standards.
- Component 1: Support to the judiciary, with special focus on the Judicial Council, Council of Public Prosecutors, Academy for judges and
public prosecutors, courts and public prosecution offices to strengthen the independence, accountability, professionalism and efficiency of
the judiciary
- Component 2: Support to the probation service and efficient execution of alternative measures
Requirements
- Education at least Master degree at University level in law or social sciences or equivalent 5 years of general professional experience
above the minimum general professional experience requested below
- At least 10 years of experience in the field of execution of sanctions
- At least 5 years of experience in implementation of the execution of alternative sanction probation
- Experience with similar international projects in the area of penitentiary system would be an advantage
