OSCE SPECIAL MONITORING MISSION TO UKRAINE/ SENIOR SECURITY OFFICER

Responsibilities

   - Assists the SMM SO in the execution of responsibilities with regard to the security of Mission staff, premises, programmes, and assets;
   - Supports the SMM SO with all planning of security arrangements within the Mission's area of operations (including the Head Office and
     Field Offices) on their special security arrangements and plans, and ensures their implementation;
   - Maintains and updates security and contingency plans and procedures to cover movement control of the monitoring teams, as well as the
     security listings of the Mission's staff; ensures that plans for relocation and evacuation are current and implementable;
   - Analyses security-related information and conducts Security Risk assessments of the respective area of responsibility and suggests
     relevant measures;
   - Conducts regular exercises (such as fire and evacuation drills, communication tests) to ensure staff preparedness for eventual
     emergencies;
   - Ensures that Mission staff members are kept informed on matters affecting their security and that appropriate arrangements are made for
     briefing of newly hired staff;


Requirements

   - Experience in the field of security management
   - Substantial knowledge of the political-military history and recent developments in the Mission area
   - Experience with security plans or Warden System
   - Proven experience in the supervision of staff
   - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
   - Proven investigative skills
   - Professional fluency in English and Ukrainian, and/or Russian languages
   - Possession of a valid automobile Class 'C' driving licence
   - Good organizational skills
   - Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and within limited timeframes as well as the ability to solve problems effectively and
     efficiently
