OSCE MISSION IN KOSOVO/ LEGAL OFFICER, LEGISLATIVE REVIEW SECTION (VACANCY NUMBER: VNKOSS01627)

Responsibilities

   - Participates in the review of the legal and policy framework in Kosovo - including reform and/or legislative proposals - for compliance
     with rule of law principles and human rights standards;
   - Monitors, analyses and reports on the implementation of the legal and policy framework in Kosovo;
   - Maintains knowledge of the legal and policy framework in Kosovo and provides rapid analysis on developments to Department/Sectio
     /other units in the Mission, following up recommendations internally or with relevant external institutions;
   - Drafts and implements projects aimed at improving the legal and policy framework in Kosovo;
   - Maintains knowledge of international best practices related to rule of law and legal and policy reform


Requirements

   - An advanced degree in law, human rights or a related field
   - At least two years of professional experience in law, human rights or a related field
   - Professional fluency in English Language
   - Strong analytical, problem solving and writing skills
   - Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as a member of a team, with people of - different cultural and religious backgrounds,
     different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity
   - Cultural sensitivity and judgement
