Responsibilities
- Co-ordinates and manages up to eight project units working on human rights, rule of law, media, civil society,
economic and environmental as well as politico-military activities. The units operate both as separate units, as well as in
a cross-dimensional configuration;
- Serves as principal advisor to Project Co-ordinator on all matters concerning policy, operations and project
development;
- Through senior level contacts with the Ukrainian authorities, identifies projects and formulates relevant documents and
establishes corresponding budgets with the responsible Project Officers;
- Organizes fundraising activities to cover the extra-budgetary projects and assigns Unified Budget funds within the
respective programme to certain projects;
- Prepares the annual budget and operational plan of programme activities;
Requirements
- Proven work experience in the field of project management: project development, including budgeting, monitoring,
implementation, and reporting (both narrative and financial)
- Good management, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to take corrective action
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English and the ability to draft reports clearly and concisely
- Working knowledge of Russian and/or Ukrainian languages
- Ability to establish contact and develop confident relations with government officials and institutions, as well as civil
society
