Founded in 1929 as an educational institution, The Museum of Modern Art is dedicated to being the foremost museum of modern art in the world. Central to The Museum of Modern Art's mission is the encouragement of an ever-deeper understanding and enjoyment of modern and contemporary art by the diverse local, national, and international audiences that it serves.
The Museum of Modern Art seeks to create a dialogue between the established and the experimental, the past and the present, in an environment that is responsive to the issues of modern and contemporary art, while being accessible to a public that ranges from scholars to young children.
Therefore, MoMA encourages all undergraduate and graduate students and beginning professionals with practical experience to apply for spring internships program and gain practical and theoretical training in museum work; to learn about MoMA's mission, collections, and orgganizational systems while working closely with MoMA staff, attending curator talks and weekly's lecture series.
This internship program is offered in a specific area of museum work at The Museum of Modern Art. Duration of the program is fourteen weeks period and it starts from January 20 and ends April 24, 2015. The Museum hosts approximately 40 interns per season in just about every department.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for an internship, applicants should:
   - One must have a minimum of one and a half years of college completed (or equivalent) by January 2015;
   - Intern’s experience and skill should match with departmental needs of MoMA;
   - Current students with at least two years of college completed at the time the specific internship begins, recent college graduates,
     graduate students and beginning museum professionals;
   - Candidates from diverse backgrounds and academic disciplines to apply;
   - High School students and recent high school graduates should visit our Teens section.

Scholarship

These internships are unpaid.

Interns will receive confirmation by e-mail till December 8, 2014. Select applicants will be contacted to arrange interviews. Applicants can apply via e-mail. Applicants can submit application form, resume, essays, letter of recommendation, transcript and samples of design work.
