Description                                                       Max. Grant Amount is: EUR 1.600.000

The overall objective is to consolidate the framework for prudential supervision of Moldovan banks equivalent to that existing in the EU, ensuring the proper functioning and operation of a sustainable and competitive banking sector. Thecore objective of the proposed twinning assistance project is to strengthening the NBM’s capacity in the field of banking regulation and supervision in the context of EU requirements (Directive 2013/36/EU and Regulation 575/2013). The primary purpose for that matter is to support the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) in the gradual harmonisation with the EU Directive on capital requirements (CRD-IV), incorporating Basel III rules for capital measurement and capital standards in the National Bank's prudential regulations.
Maximum project duration is: 24 months

Eligibility

Only Public Administrations and Mandated bodies as per Twinning Manual of European Union MS may apply through European Union MS’ National Contact Points.
Twinning proposals must be submitted to the EU Member States National Contact Points for Twinning following the instructions of the Twinning Manual which must be strictly observed (including the use of the template).
National Contact Points for Twinning will then select one Twinning proposal and submit it to the Contracting Authority within the deadline for applications.
For each application, one copy should be sent by the email address of the National Contact Point.

Overall amount available for this Call for Proposals and maximum grant amount (if Twinning Light) is: EUR 1.600.000
