Background

The UNDP Kosovo Programme Action Plan 2011-2015 (KPAP) aims to assist Kosovo with its development agenda (as defined by the European Partnership Action Plan, the Economic Vision and the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework), focusing on social inclusion and human development for all. The KPAP is based on the UN Kosovo Team’s Common Development Plan for 2011-2015 and will directly contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals for Kosovo. UNDP-supported interventions are in line with the on-going initiatives of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Responsibilities

  - Support the implementation of the project activities aiming to increase awareness of services offered by the Public Employment Services
    (PES) in Kosovo
  - Support the organization of outreach activities to promote PES
  - Assist the team in the identification of operational problems contributing to the low visibility of PES;
  - Draft and design outreach materials and factsheets (including short stories of beneficiaries) outlining main project results and disseminate
    them among stakeholders, partners and beneficiaries
  - Manage and update project social media accounts and liaise closely with UNDP Communications Team in order to feed UNDP online
    platforms with news and contents related to project activities.
  - Conduct field trips to photograph/record the impact of results of the project

Requirements

  - Degree in Social Science, Communications, Journalism, International Development, Political Science, or related fields
  - At least 3 years of experience in the public relations, communications, advocacy, journalism or other related experience
  - Fluency in English and Albanian (written and spoken) is required, knowledge of Serbian is considered an asset
