AFC CONSULTANTS INTERNATIONAL/ ANIMAL HEALTH EXPERT

Description

The overall objective of the project is to strengthen safeguarding measures of animal health from introduction of so-called exotic diseases and reinforce the capacity to implement control and eradication plans for diseases present in Kosovo.


Requirements

Qualification and skills:

   - Bachelor’s or Master/PhD in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Health or Veterinary Epidemiolog
   - Excellent command of written and spoken English

General professional experience:

   - At least 10 years of professional experience in the design and/or implementation of animal health disease control and/or eradication
     programmes.

Specific professional experience:

   - Experience as an expert in at least 1, preferably 3 projects covering the area of development of animal health laboratories;
   - Experience as long-term expert providing technical support in at least 1, preferably 3 projects covering the design of animal health control
     programmes.

All experts must be independent and free from conflicts of interest in the responsibilities they take on.
