OSCE MISSION IN KOSOVO/ FIELD CO-ORDINATION OFFICER (VACANCY NUMBER: VNKOSS01669)

Responsibilities

   - Provides strategic, policy and operational advice to the Mission's programmatic departments in the process of identification, development,
     implementation and evaluation of projects and activities in northern Kosovo, in close consultation with the Office of the Head of Mission;
   - Ensures co-ordination and complementarity of programmatic activities in the north in the specific area of responsibility through regular
     co-ordination between all three programmatic departments, the RC Mitrovicë/Mitrovica and the Head of Mission office, including
     co-ordination of the Work of the Northern Task Force and the Technical Working Group for the North;
   - Acts as Focal Point - both internally and externally - for the Mission's programmatic activities in the northern municipalities, particularly
     but not exclusively those under the direct supervision of the Northern Task Force; liaises with local and other international interlocutors
     to build necessary working relations and ensure effective coordination to avoid overlaps and duplication of efforts;
   - Regularly reports to the Head of Mission and the Northern Task Force on progress made in the implementation of Mission activities in the
     specific area of responsibility;


Requirements

   - Previous experience in a liaison function, preferably at in international level and/or in field missions
   - Experience in political analysis and/or reporting
   - Experience in policy planning and advising
   - Negotiating experience, preferably in the area of monitoring operations and/or related activities
   - Demonstrated experience in project co-ordination management
   - Professional fluency in the English language
