OSCE MISSION TO BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA/ DEPUTY HEAD OF MISSION (VACANCY NUMBER: VNBAHS00592)

Responsibilities

   - Co-ordinates and monitors the progress of the Mission's programmes and activities;
   - Advises the Head of Mission on administrative, management, policy, and programmatic matters;
   - In co-ordination with the Chief of Fund Administration, oversees the preparation of annual planning and budgeting documents - e.g.,
     Programme Outline and Unified Budget submission - and oversees the management of human resource issues;
   - Leads and oversees the Mission's involvement in OSCE Economic and Environmental and Freedom of Media issues and activities;
   - Oversees the work of the Senior Representative of the Head of Mission/Deputy Head of Mission;
   - Deputizes for the Head of Mission in his/her absence;


Requirements

   - Advanced university education in international studies, public policy, political science or law, or related fields
   - Diplomatic experience or experience working in political affairs with international organizations or governments
   - Demonstrated management skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with people of different
     national and cultural backgrounds as well as with all departments and offices throughout the Mission, while maintaining strict impartiality
     and objectivity
   - Experience in results-based program management
   - Experience in dealing with press and media
   - Experience in the protection and promotion of freedom of media
