Background
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Country Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina is acting as a Recipient of the EU and Norwegian grants to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the implementation of the Response to Floods Programme. Natural disaster generated huge damage to both public buildings and housing units. Destruction of houses and public infrastructure due to the flood can contribute to insecurity, displacement of populations, and the interruption of public services. Rehabilitation and reconstruction of damaged buildings is a critical part of relief and recovery efforts.
The overall objective of the assignment is to provide Services on supervision over the execution of contracted works in accordance with the design documentation and relevant national legislation and professional standards.
Responsibilities
The required services include but not limit to the following:
- Supervision over compliance of construction works with the contracted Bill of Quanities, Detail Design documents, Entity Spatial Planning
and Construction Acts and relevant by-laws, technical regulations, general and special technical conditions and professional codes;
- Supervision over the quality of construction works;
- Supervision over the executed quantities of works and verification of the interim and final payment certificates,
- Review and signing of the daily construction log and construction book of measurements;
- Supervision over the completion deadlines;
- Preparation of reports on the status of works;
- Participation in the technical inspection and takeover of the facility;
- Review and signing the as-built project design.
Eligibility
- Registration to perform the requested services as a legal entity;
- License for services of design and supervision over the subject works as a legal entity, issued by relevant government authority and valid
at minimum until the end of the construction period;
- At least 5 (five) years of experience as a legal entity in design and supervision over the execution of the subject works on public buildings
of medium complexity.
- At least three successfully implemented projects within the last 3 (three) years, related to design and/or supervision over the execution of
the subject works on public buildings of similar complexity, as a legal entity.
