ACE INTERNATIONAL CONSULTANTS/ EIB - JORDAN’S SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISE (SME) GROWTH PROGRAMME/ KEY EXPERT 1: TEAM LEADER – LONG-TERM ADVISOR TO JEDCO

Requirements

Qualifications and skills

   - Holder of a Master Degree in economics, social sciences or equivalent with a specialization in relevant discipline (development
     economics/business management/SME development and promotion);
   - Proven ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with national and international counterparts;
   - Excellent command of English spoken and written, Arabic would be an advantage;
   - Excellent communication, drafting and reporting skills;
   - Computer literacy in MS office tools.
   - Prior experience with EU/EIB funded programmes and procedures are an asset.

General professional experience

   - Minimum of 10 years’ wide international experience is required;
   - Experience of at least 5 years in the area of organizational development, research, private sector/business development, development
     economics/business growth strategies preferably with similar projects;
   - Proven experience as team leader or at a level of senior responsibility for programme coordination.

Specific professional experience

   - At least 5 years professional experience in working with and/or managing development projects funded by international organizations,
     demonstrating thorough experience in project management and knowledge of the rules and procedures and technical and financial
     aspects of projects;
   - Wide knowledge of promotional instruments for start-ups and/or SMEs and business consultancy services;
   - Hands-on experience in advising start-ups and/or SMEs and working with business consultants;
   - Experience in organizing and implementing capacity building measures and/or organizational development;
   - Working experience in the MENA region and in Jordan would be considered as an asset.
