ACTED/ PROGRAM MANAGER WASH WATER & SANITATION

Background

The WASH Programme Manager will work in and oversee ACTED’s WASH Programme in Azraq refugee camp while working directly under ACTED’s Azraq Area Coordinator, with support from the WASH Technical Coordinator, Deputy Country Director for Programmes, and Country Director. The WASH Programme Manager will be responsible for water supply, solid waste removal, desludging, and solid waste collection, working in close collaboration with the WASH Hygiene Promotion and Community Mobilisation Programme Manager.

With these objectives the WASH Programme Manager is responsible for:

   - Water supply through trucking to centralized networks for the whole camp
   - Water quality and delivery monitoring or organization
   - Solid waste collection and removal across the whole camp
   - Desludging of all sanitation facilities across the whole camp


Responsibilities

   - Ensure external representation of ACTED in relevant sectors
   - Project Cycle Management
   - Provide Relevant Technical Expertise
   - Oversee Program Staff and Security
   - Identify Best Practices and Lessons Learned


Requirements

   - Degree in civil engineering, water engineering, or related courses;
   - At least 3 years of experience in project implementation and construction, preferably in an international context;
   - At least 3 years of experience in water supply, water quality, sanitation, and related fields;
   - Experience in refugee camp situations preferred.
   - Arabic language preferred.
