Requirements
- Police administrative courses in relevant field and specialized subject area
- Minimum 10 years of diversified police experience including at least 12 months operational experience in the relevant field and specialized
subject area
- Experience in working for a recognized law enforcement agency with a broad background in policing roles including "Community/Uniform
Policing", Criminal Investigations (especially at Organized Crimes sphere), Human Resources Management and Police Training
- Advanced problem solving and decision making skills and ability to work with own initiative and minimum supervision
- Ability to operate Windows applications, including word processing, e-mail, and presentation software (e.g. PowerPoint)
Responsibilities
- Provides recommendations to the department's and unit's leadership, Ministry of Internal Affairs and other partners in the analysis,
development, implementation and evaluation of policing programmes including police reform, training, police/public partnership and
fighting organized crimes approaches
- Implements or assists in the implementation of other Police Development Unit projects and initiatives that respond to identified needs from
the OSCE and national and international partners, within the frame of the Mission's mandate and available resources
- Assists counterparts in identifying and analysing emerging security issues. Prepares Mission early warning reports and assists
counterparts in devising and implementing appropriate action plans, projects and outreach programmes to address them
