Background

The purpose of the position is to provide administrative and programmatic support to the implementation of the projects contributing to outcomes in the selected impact areas of UN Women Strategic Plan for Serbia: a) Impact area 3. Women and girls in Serbia live a life free from violence; b) Impact Area 4. Peace, security and transitional justice agenda in Serbia is shaped by women’s leadership, participation and needs; and c) Impact area 5. National and sub-national planning and budgeting processes reflect accountability for gender equality.

The objective of this position is to support results oriented, effective, efficient and accountable implementation of the project activities and achievement of project results in Serbia.


Responsibilities

   - Providing support to the Programme team in day to day implementation and monitoring of activities under ongoing projects;
   - Providing assistance in preparing work plans and project reports;
   - Assisting with logistics pertaining to the organization of workshops, seminars, events, and other activities, and prepares relevant budgets
     and participant lists;
   - Assisting team members, experts and consultants on travel and logistics matters
   - Assists in the preparation of field visits, special events, coordination of meetings, staff missions, including the development of background
     materials and other relevant reports and documentation;
   - Identifying and collecting policy-related, relevant information and data and compiling data for management; Preparing briefs, talking
     points and relevant materials;
   - Drafting terms of reference for consultants and contractors, as required;
   - Drafting correspondence on project issues, as required;
   - Maintaining close cooperation with responsible partners and beneficiaries to ensure effective implementation of the agreed activities and
     delivery of outputs in a timely manner;


Requirements

   - 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in international/multilateral development context;
   - Experience in supporting complex projects/processes that included extensive communication, coordination and facilitation;
   - Experience in partnership building at international, national, regional and local level;
   - The following specific experiences will be considered as an asset: experience working in the UN system or other international
     organizations; experience in projects in the field of women’s empowerment.
