USAID Macedonia announces an opportunity to award grant(s) (or to modify existing awards) to eligible Macedonian organizations (or existing implementing partners) ranging from $20,000 to $600,000 per individual award under the Expanding Participation of People with Disabilities Program – FY 2014 Disability Funding. USAID Macedonia seeks concept papers from eligible Macedonian organizations and from its implementing partners of ongoing projects to propose innovative and effective approaches that increase the participation of people with disabilities (PWDs) in Macedonia and strengthen the capacity of local disabled people’s organizations (DPOs). The proposed program(s) areas could include, but are not limited to: agriculture and food security; democracy, human rights & governance; economic growth and trade; education; environment and global climate change; sports; gender equality and women’s empowerment; and science, technology and innovation, among others. Capacity building programs for DPOs may include organizational capacity, advocacy efforts, cross-disability coalition building, coordination, and leadership and training.
