Background
UNKT’s is preparing the next five years strategic planning document named ‘Common Development Plan (CDP) 2016-2020’, to define their joint actions. To complete this process UNKT completed the following steps: (i) a workshop with working level focal points in the beginning of June for the purpose of assessing the CDP results and context analysis, (ii) an extended Heads of Agency Meeting in mid-June to review CDP results and context analysis, (iii) the strategic prioritization workshop in October 2014, ending with a draft CDP Results Matrix.
In addition the UNKT will: (iv) finalize the result matrix in February 2015 and send for Peer Review, (v) finalize the narrative of CDP in March 2015 and (vi) finalize the M&E calendar for the duration of the CDP and Draft the Bi-annual plan. To achieve this, the UN Development Coordinator’s Office (UNDCO) is requesting for a M&E Consultant to assist the team during this process to successfully achieve the milestones presented above.
Responsablities
- Complete the CDP result matrix in consultation with the UNKT team and the PSG
- Participate as requested in working group meetings to finalize the process in cooperation with the Writer
- Prepare CDP M&E calendar by using best practices from UNDG RBM Handbook and other documents.
- Coordinate closely with the Writer on finalization of the CDP on necessary steps and clear it with the DCO team.
- Support with presentations or any necessary materials the DC in his presentation for the UN and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in International Relations, Political Science, Economics or related Social Sciences
- At least seven years of professional development related work experience at the national and/or international level
- Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring of strategic planning documents
- Knowledge of UN programmatic processes, preferably in the Balkans is needed;
- Fluency in both written and spoken Albanian and English is required. Knowledge of the Serbian language is considered an asset.
