Contract description
The EU Biodiversity for Life (B4Life) flagship initiative under the Global Public Goods and Challenges (GPGC) Thematic Programme aims to contribute to halt biodiversity loss by fully integrating biodiversity and ecosystem conservation with socio-economic development; the ultimate goal of which is poverty eradication. The B4Life initiative also aims to enhance coherence and coordination regarding EU biodiversity interventions, geared towards international targets.
It is within this flagship that the EU is creating a Technical Assistance Facility (TAF) to support the European Commission in the implementation of the B4Life initiative. The Facility will support the overall management and coordination of B4Life in addition to ensuring maximum coherence between all biodiversity related interventions under B4Life. Specifically, the B4Life Facility will provide technical support, ensure comprehensive communication and coordination, promote knowledge exchange and enhance visibility and coherence of all biodiversity EU actions undertaken by this
Budget
Maximum budget: EUR 3 000 000
Eligibility
Participation is open to legal persons participating either individually or in a grouping (consortium) of tenderers which are effectively established in a Member State of the European Union or in a eligible country or territory as defined under the Regulation (EU) N°236/2014 establishing common rules and procedures for the implementation of the Union's instruments for external action (CIR) for the applicable Instrument under which the contract is financed (see also heading 29 below). Participation is also open to international organisations.
