Background

The project „Strengthening of DOTS Strategy and Improving National Tuberculosis Programme, Including Multidrug Resistant and Infection Control, in Bosnia and Herzegovina” is funded by the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFAM) round 9 grant to Bosnia and Herzegovina and implemented by UNDP as Principal Recipient nominated by the Country Coordination Mechanism (CCM).While UNDP as nominated Principal Recipient will be implemented agent and responsible for the overall management of the project, the overall ownership of the implementation of this grant rests with the Government of BiH and CCM, where the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs is the key counterpart for UNDP at the national level along with the Ministry of Health of Federation of BiH (FBiH) and Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska (RS) – as the two BiH entity level ministries in charge of health issues.

Responsibilities

  - Support to implementation of Project component
  - Support to Project Manager on the day to day basis
  - Business Process Quality Assurance
  - Support to the Project Manager in effective mainstreaming of gender equality
  - Support to the Project Manager in administrative activities

Requirements

  - Secondary Education, University Degree in Business or Public Administration, Economics, Political Sciences and Social Sciences would be
    desirable, but it is not a requirement
  - 6 years of progressively responsible administrative or project experience is required at the national or international level
  - Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and
    database packages, experience in handling of web based management systems
  - Fluency in English and local languages
