Participation:
EUROPEANS FOR PEACE funds partnerships between schools or non-school organisations in Germany, Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe or Israel who wish to carry out a joint project. Binational or trinational projects can be funded. For a project to be eligible for submission to EUROPEANS FOR PEACE, at least one of the project partners must be based in Germany and one in Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe or Israel.
Project partnerships between Germany and the following countries can be funded:
Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Israel and Palestinian territories, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. For trinational projects, the third partner to be funded can either be another one of the countries mentioned above, or one out of the other member states of the Council of Europe (e.g. Turkey, France etc.).
Eligibility:
Project participants are young people between the ages of 14 to 21 years. Funding for university groups is not possible.
Funding
EUROPEANS FOR PEACE will reimburse the following expenses incurred while carrying out the project:
-Costs of group travel to international project encounters
-Cost s of accomodation and board
-Materials for creating a project product and presenting the results
-Fees of experts and interpreters
-Alongside this financial support, EUROPEANS FOR PEACE offers advanced training for both young and adult project leaders in the run up
to implementing their projects. At international seminars running for several days they can develop their content-specific and method
related skills for project work. The project partners are also advised on their projects and can jointly develop their projects further.
Application
Applications can be made annually by 15th of January. The next deadline for receipt of applications is 15th of January 2012 for projects which will be carried out between July 2012 and July 2013.
The application should include a project outline in which you describe your idea. A cost plan is also required, and this must take into account the programme‘s fixed rates of funding.
