OSCE MISSION TO MOLDOVA/ MISSION SPOKESPERSON (VACANCY NUMBER: VNMOLS00152)

Responsibilities

   - Develops and implements a media strategy designed to generate maximum positive local and international coverage of Mission activities;
   - Supervises and conducts press conferences and media events;
   - Drafts press releases, statements, press lines, news items and media advisories and ensures its distribution to varied target audiences;
   - Supervises the monitoring of local and international media and ensures timely distribution of daily press reviews throughout the Mission;
   - Drafts speeches and prepares briefing materials for the Head of Mission for public events;
   - Handles requests for interviews from domestic and foreign journalists;
   - Maintains close liaison with the OSCE Secretariat's Communications and Media Relations Section;


Requirements

   - Experience with structuring and granting of interviews, press conferences and media events, and writing skills for a variety of audiences
   - Knowledge of the historical and current political situation of the Mission area
   - Experience in working with journalists
   - Experience in managing social media
   - Professional fluency in English, both oral and written, and the ability to draft documents clearly and concisely
   - Working knowledge Russian language, including the ability to conduct substantive business
