Responsibilities
- Assesses and reports on economic and environmental governance issues, in particular those related to northern Kyrgyzstan, including
through the drafting of relevant analytical background reports, weekly situational updates, food-for-thought papers and input to the
Centre's regular and thematic reporting;
- Contributes to developing the strategy and necessary resources for the economic and environmental governance programme through the
programme budgeting process;
- Contributes to the development, co-ordination and implementation of economic and environmental governance projects, in particular
those related to northern Kyrgyzstan;
- Supports the Senior Economic and Environmental Officer in ensuring the full implementation of the economic and environmental
governance programme in compliance with the OSCE's Common Regulatory Management System (CRMS);
- Ensures all projects in the economic and environmental governance programme are adequately monitored, controlled and reported on,
particularly those implemented in the north of Kyrgyzstan;
- Identifies local and international stakeholders relevant for the fulfilment of the programme and maintains regular communication with
them;
Requirements
- Project management experience, including development, implementation and monitoring, preferably of economic and environmental
governance project activities
- Sound ability to establish contacts and develop confident relations with civil society, as well as the ability to work with government
officials and institutions
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; and ability to compile and analyze relevant information
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Cultural sensitivity and judgment
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as a member of a team, with people of different cultural and religious backgrounds,
different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity
- Previous international experience, preferably within operational missions and in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS),
especially in Central Asia
