A new policy frames EU commitments towards CSOs and Las. In September 2012, the Commission adopted the Communication “The Roots of Democracy and sustainable development: Europe's Engagement with Civil Society in External Relations” and in May 2013, the Commission adapted the Communication “Empowering Local Authorities in partner countries for enhanced governance and more effective development outcomes”. For CSOs , the proposal was an enhanced and more strategic EU engagement with CSOs in Partner countries, with a particular focus on local civil society organisations. It also outlines a new approach to support CSOs with regards to the promotion of inclusive and sustainable growth as well in social service delivery.
Size of grants
Lot 1 and Lot 2:
- minimum amount : EUR 300,000
- maximum amount: EUR 400,00
Lot 3:
- minimum amount : EUR 300,000
- maximum amount: EUR 600,000
Lot 4 and Lot 5:
- minimum amount : EUR 300,000
- maximum amount: EUR 375,000
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the applicant must:
- be a legal person - be non-profit-making
- be established in a Member State of the European Union or Georgia
- be CSOs and be constituted in accordance with the legislation in force of the country concerned
