Requirements
- Advanced education/certified training course in a relevant field desirable
- Minimum 6 years of relevant, diversified and progressively responsible professional experience including at least 3 years at the
management level relevant to the actual position
- Strong managerial skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective and constructive working relationships with internal
counterparts at all levels as well as with relevant Host Country and international interlocutors
- Professional fluency in the English language
Responsibilities
- Analyzes general security related developments in the Area of Responsibility (AoR) and their possible repercussions and suggests the
Mission's response and/or course of actions
- Manages the Monitoring Unit (MU), provides operational guidance and co-ordination to its international and national personnel and
ensures that they operate in line with the Mission's priorities and standard operating procedures
- Decides upon reasonable scope of contacts with local counterparts with a view to maintain effective monitoring modus operandi
- Provides updates and briefings to Head PSCOD, Head of Mission / Deputy Head of Mission and other related managerial staff on
developments in the AoR
- Assumes overall responsibility for the weekly reporting of the MU and its contribution to the Departmental Weekly, Mission's Bi-Weekly,
Spot and Background Reports
