Description
IDEA SEE considers art and design to be among the most important tools for communicating, expressing thoughts and positions, and promoting change and societal evolution. IDEA SEE in 2015 is expanding its Art & Design for Advocacy program, through the organization of a series of workshops where youth and NGO activists will learn how to use the visual language of art and design to communicate their thoughts, messages and positions where it matters, contributing to a healthier, more open and encompassing communities. The training will take place from 22 -28 June 2015, Hotel Pela, Ohrid, Macedonia.
The singular event is to include two separate tracks via an individually adapted program flow, that are to use comic books and data visualization as tools for advocacy. The ultimate goal of the program is to support and guide young leaders as they develop further skills in advocacy through art and design, to build their confidence and clarify individual messages to ultimately lead to an effective change in their communities.
Eligibility
Young people aged 18-28 from Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia are eligible to apply.
Costs
Transport to and during the event, food and accommodation will be fully covered by IDEA SEE.
