SUMMER SCHOOL “NATO’S CHALLENGES UKRAINE AND BEYOND”

Description

Since 2005, NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division has joined forces with Prague Security Studies Institute (PSSI) to offer a select, but intensive, course of study for an elite group of graduate students in political science, international relations and other relevant fields from NATO’s member states and partner countries concerning future challenges for NATO and pressing issues on the global security agenda. This is one-week course, that will be held in English, includes lectures, presentations, group discussions and simulations led by Czech and foreign security experts – both senior policy practitioners and scholars. This year theme will focus on ‘NATO’s Challenges: Ukraine and Beyond’.

Among the topics that will be discussed are:

   - Hybrid Warfare and Article V;
   - Cyber Security;
   - Future of Ukraine;
   - Crisis Management Simulation;
   - Russia;
   - NATO’s Eastern Partners.


Eligibility

Students currently enrolled in Master degree programs in Political Science, International Relations, Economics or other relevant fields from NATO’s member and partner countries.


Costs

Registration fee of 4000,- CZK / 150 EUR. Accommodation, meals and local transport Prague-Merin-Prague will be fully covered by the organizers. Foreign participants’ travel expenses will be partially reimbursed (not applicable to those selected students from the Czech Republic or Slovakia). In previous years, the reimbursement amount was between 60%-80%. Participants will receive more information upon their selection.
