HUMAN DYNAMICS/LAW ENFORCEMENT IN THE FIELD OF INDUSTRIAL POLLUTION CONTROL, PREVENTION OF CHEMICAL ACCIDENTS AND ESTABLISHING THE EMAS SYSTEM/KEY EXPERT 3 - SEVESO

Duration of the assignment: 300 work days over 24 months

Requirements

Qualifications and skills:

  - A bachelor's degree (where an university degree has been awarded on completion of three years study in a university or equivalent
    institution). A Master/Phd in a subject relevant to the assignment is an advantage;
  - At least very good command of English (4 on a scale a 1-5 where 5 is excellent)
  - Proficiency in English
  - Very good oral and written presentation and reporting skills
  - Pronounced analytical skills and team working abilities
  - Ability and interest to transfer knowledge effectively to third parties
  - Adequate user skills of PCs and MS Office or equivalent

General professional experience:

  - Minimum of 10 years but preferably 15 years of post graduate professional experience in environmental management

Specific professional experience:

  - Minimum of 6 years but preferably 10 years of post-graduate professional experience gained in an EU Member State in implementing
    Seveso legislation on chemical accident prevention and preparedness including experience in the evaluation of Safety Reports and
    Emergency Plans. Post graduate professional experience in implementing the Seveso legislation on chemical accident prevention and
    preparedness including experience in the evaluation of Safety Reports and Emergency Plans in an EU member state as civil servant or
    employee of a Member State Mandated Body will be considered as an advantage; experience in drafting of Safety Reports and Emergency
    Plans will be considered as an advantage
  - Professional experience as key expert or non key expert in a donor funded project(s) with an aggregate work day input of the expert of at
    least 60 work days but preferably more in a country that is not the country of origin/usual residence of the expert and pertaining to the
    implementation of Seveso legislation is an advantage
